Farming Creditials of OMHE Partners

Farms owned by partners in the Old Mission Hop Exchange are long standing farms on the Old Mission Peninsula. They are part of the Michigan Agricultural Environmental Assurance Program, a Michigan Department of Agriculture designation for farms demonstrating good stewardship of the land through certain cropping and spraying practices. The farms hold Pesticide Certifications and are active in the Natural Resources Conservation Service, a Federal program that works to preserve soil and water resources including wildlife habitat through Integrated Pest Programs, Water Quality and Conservation and Planting Wind Rows.
